When @kaitlyn_boone reached out, we asked her to describe her wedding aesthetic. Her words - βFormal, coastal, vintage, magical, memorable.β And she said she wanted full spot calligraphy for her main invitation. My little heart was so excited.
The letterpress, giving a tactile impression on the cotton cardstock was a nod to their black tie affair; with a more formal style of calligraphy. We pulled in a seahorse wax seal and Florida vintage postage; a seashell die cut rehearsal dinner card; and a custom watercolor liner of the iconic fountains at their venue.

I donβt have anything profound to share. Just that we are sisters. We love a good floral printed dress. Townley has always been about an inch or two taller than me. This was on a Tuesday afternoon at an industry event; brushing our hair and throwing on heels as we were running out the door. Stopping at our printer on the way to the event; and emailing planners across the room during the event; and then immediately back to the studio because itβs our busy season π€

In a few weeks we will be in Alaska! We are taking a rescheduled trip - one that was originally schedule for May, 2020, for our dadβs 70th birthday (thanks covid). Welp. Heβs 76 now. ππ«£. We are finally doing it. We shall see how the boatβs WiFi is; but excited to take a break after our spring wedding season slows into our summer events.

I feel like during spring wedding season, we turn into weather ladies! How humid is it outside? Escort cards, table numbers - anything with single ply cardstock - eeeek it makes me nervous once we get in July with the Tennessee heat and humidity - but May? Itβs usually a toss up. Here to say we have had the BEST WEATHER so far this spring!

CALLIGRAPHY: Me. This entire menu was done by hand, one time, and then the artwork was reproduced by printing. Each guest name was added to the top of the menu, by hand.
