This stunning styled wedding shoot at the Four Seasons Nashville was all about timeless charm with a fresh, elevated twist. As part of a special competition for Southern Bride Magazine, this luxurious Southern inspired wedding shoot brought together some of the most talented creatives in the industry, including planner Amanda Marie and Co.. who is known for designing warm, upscale, and unforgettable events. This event was no exception! With 18 photographers present capturing every moment, we were honored to contribute custom wedding details that brought the vision to life.
An Invitation Suite Rooted in Romance
The foundation of any wedding aesthetic starts with the invitation suite, and this one was nothing short of refined elegance. Featuring delicate light gray calligraphy on crisp white cardstock, the suite exuded sophistication. A romantic floral border framed the invitation, while a soft floral print on the envelope liner added a subtle touch of Southern charm. To complete the look, we sealed each envelope with a rose wax seal, the perfect final detail to elevate the experience.
Luxurious Southern-Inspired Wedding Details
Bringing a cohesive vision to life is all about consistency in the details, and we were excited to incorporate subtle nods to the invitation suite throughout the wedding.
The personalized folded name cards for the seating chart and corresponding place cards at the table included an extra thoughtful touch by framing each guest’s name with the same border details found on the invitation suite. This delicate print not only enhanced the overall design but also created a seamless visual experience from the first invitation to the wedding day details. Even the bride’s wedding dress and piping on the wedding cake featured a similar pattern. Pulling similar details throughout a wedding day is something we love to do, as it really creates a cohesive style and vision and elevates the guest experience.
Then there were the unique dinner menus, which were a favorite of mine. Instead of a traditional flat menu, we designed booklet-style menus, that were tied with a dusty blue ribbon, and featured the couple’s initials on the cover. They perfectly complemented the tablescape, where gold cutlery and gold-rimmed plates tied everything together in effortless elegance. The romantic ambiance was furthered by the soft florals and flickering candles that decorated the center of the tables.
This entire shoot was a masterclass in Southern luxury, and we loved every moment of bringing these wedding details to life. Styled shoots like these are such an inspiring way to collaborate with other creatives and push the boundaries of design. Seeing all the details come together at the Four Seasons Nashville was a dream, and we can’t wait to create even more unforgettable designs in the future!

So, what’s the deal with a styled shoot? What makes wedding and event vendors put in the time and effort to throw something together that isn’t an actual event? Well, it’s pretty simple… we want to show you what we’ve got! Putting together a top-notch event is an art form, and we are the creatives behind the scenes. Nashville is one of those places where you don’t have to look very far to find a vendor or creative that is the absolute best at what they do.
For obvious reasons, most of what event vendors create come directly from whatever inspires the client: theme, colors, style, texture, all of it. So, when we are afforded a moment to let our creative juices flow and boast our skills, we will jump at the chance.
A few of Nashville’s best creatives put our minds together for what turned out to be an amazing display of talent. I hope that you can use our styled shoot at Diamond Creek Farms to pull some inspiration for your next event or wedding. This was a multi-part shoot designed to demonstrate the contrast between gold and black, blush and gold, and black and white styles! I think you’ll agree that what we put together for you is simply stunning. Check it out!
The blush and gold themed invitation suite focused on a balance of gentle and modern. The rosy envelopes with custom calligraphy and wax seals leaned perfectly into the edge-cut papers and print invites. To elevate this combination, White Ink created the most attractive little place cards I think I’ve ever done. We used pressed florals inside acrylic, lined it in gold and used custom spot calligraphy; all resting gorgeously on top of the menu place setting. I’m in love with the idea of using this for an outdoor spring wedding!
For the black and gold, and black and white portion of the shoot, White Ink really got to have fun and play with some amazing details. For the invitation suite we “pushed the envelope”, if you will, and designed off-centered custom envelope calligraphy while using the added space to make a modern splash. Our stationary team came through with a custom modern font for the invites, making this a truly impressive suite for clients to draw some inspiration from.
It’s time to talk about these black marble, stand-alone tiles! Details like these babies have an amazing way of keeping your guests chatting about your event for a long time to come. The contrast between the muted black and bright white custom calligraphy is an aesthetic gem. (Sigh). I love using tile place cards as a way to add texture to a reception. And for those outdoor receptions, they can double as paperweights for your menus. Brilliant!
There you have it! Vendors want to help make your wedding and events everything you hoped for. We might even have a few great ideas up our sleeves! We hope you enjoy.
Once again, White Ink gets to show off what we know and love in the most romantic and picturesque styled shoot we’ve ever done! This time we were invited by the amazing Curry and Co Events, who pulled together an absolute vision of a wedding that we hope will inspire you on your wedding journey!
For starters, The W Hotel in downtown Nashville offers the best canvas for nearly any décor or style our clients might be hoping for. For this shoot, feel free to soak in and enjoy all the charm and fairy-tale vibes that these fantastic vendors are serving. I just want to point out that not only was Curry and Co Events the visionary behind the design of this project, but they also put together jaw-dropping floral masterpieces! I mean, that BOUTONNIERE! Only to be paired with one of the most spectacularly delicate bridal bouquets. All of it was simply perfect.
Blue Fish Event Rentals provided the sunburst arbor that took this styled shoot from fanciful to modern in the most impressive way. This is easily one of the most striking pieces of the day. Quest Events in Nashville pulled through with some insanely stunning stand-up chandeliers that gave the table a seamless balance between classic romantic and modern whimsical.
With all of the vendors putting in their best work, the White Ink team was more than excited to dive into this project. We began with creating these timeless letterpress invites where we used a beautiful soft pink ink that complimented the tenderness of the entire invitation suite. Of course, if you want romantic, then you NEED hand-lettered envelope calligraphy. This is the detail that truly sets this suite apart from other invites no matter the style. But what really pulls this suite together is the lace envelope liner that was designed to match the lace linen on the reception table! Now that’s how you impress your guests!
The White Ink stationary team was feeling pretty fancy with these splendid little menus complete with tassels! They kept to the elegant theme and classic nods throughout the tablescape. We love venturing away from what is normally expected even with things like menus, because these are the areas where our clients can personalize and express their own unique styles. It’s good to be reminded of that sometimes, to not forget to make it yours. With that being said, we hope you are loving these fantastic table place cards as much as we do! Hester and Cook provided us with the most playful champagne coupe papers for us to personalize, and they turned out amazing! Again, even if your style is classic and fanciful, you can still add your own unique touch. We are here to help you do that.
It is always an honor to be invited to participate in a styled shoot. It’s an amazing little corner of the creative vendor world where we have the freedom to manifest the best of what we can offer, and we get to present it to you! We hope you enjoy it, and we can’t wait to create with you too!
Check out all the amazing vendors who made it happen:
Every now and again at White Ink Calligraphy, we get to step out of reality and into a dream. A few of Nashville’s best and brightest creatives invited us to be a part of one of the most exceptional projects to come across our desk. We had so much fun creating for this shoot. There was a real freedom in getting to push the creative boundaries beyond what we normally do. The results exceeded our expectations, pushing them higher than the Teton Mountains that surrounds the valley below. And we invite you to take a peek at these breathtaking possibilities!
Imagine planning a wedding where you are free to pull out all the stops and create something like the White Ink team did here with this picturesque suite. We used hand-torn, hand-painted, water colored paper to make this design look its very best. This suite even included an illustrated hiking map! Is that not the coolest idea ever? The complete design included a welcome note, a custom wax seal, vintage stamps, menu and place card. Piecing all of this together was incredibly satisfying for our entire White Ink crew.
We did the calligraphy for each place card which was cleverly placed against its own little compass, fitting effortlessly into the décor of the outdoor tablescape. The efforts and vision of all of the creators and vendors involved in this project truly came to life and really showed the skill and strength of each designer. The table seemed like something that had been there forever, tucked away, just waiting to be seen. It was adorned with soft linens, tiny candles, and flowers that danced across the tabletop like the notes of the sweetest love song.
The inspiration doesn’t stop there, in fact, the grandeur of this shoot, this setting, that dress, these mountains, it’s enough to refresh the creative power in our team for a long time to come. This is why we do what we do. What an honor to be included in it all. It was a good day.
In October 2020, during the midst of a pandemic, a handful of Nashville wedding vendors came together to create some magic at the new venue in town – The Saint Elle. The Saint Elle opened, with restrictions on event capacities in Davidson County, and we were eager to get inside and check it out since large events weren’t happening in Nashville. We were also happy to support and show love to this amazing venue. The space is fresh, has some of the most amazing natural light one could ask for, and is nothing less than what I would have expected from the ladies that created The Cordelle; another event venue in Nashville. Elizabeth Nord, the photographer for this shoot, pulled together all of the vendors. While I wasn’t able to be onsite the day of the shoot, I couldn’t be more ecstatic with the shots that Elizabeth provided. And, as always, I was so lucky that Jennifer with Feather + Oak was onsite – she always styles my paper in the dreamiest way.

The Saint Elle has a patio on the front of the building, dressed with boxwood walls. THESE COME WITH THE SPACE! I imagine acrylic seating charts; neon signs; and all the light being hung from these boxwoods. There’s so much creative freedom with the slate that they provide. Brides, let’s do this together!
Handmade paper with calligraphy
The handmade paper that I used for this shoot is from Share Studios. The paper is less “toothy” as we would say in the calligraphy world and is absolutely divine to write on; no prep work for the paper is necessary. The raw edges give the paper a romantic feel – but truly, photos don’t do this paper justice.
